God the idol

Our wounds may not be as obvious as a physical condition but they still exist within each and every one of us. We will often go through life asking people and things to make us whole.

We turn many things in our life into an idol, into a sacred object, and expect ourselves to be made whole by it. As it turns out, many people within a religious context stop their idolization with God. Yet, when even our beliefs do not fill the void or heal our internal wounds we find ourselves in despair.

It is at this moment when our only choice is to begin seeing life, people, and God through a different lens, with a new awareness.

We begin to see that within our pain, within our suffering, within our love, we see God.

We become aware of God.

We experience the divine within ourselves and everything around us.
